Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some minor scattered spots of cosmetic retouching, notably minor strokes in the upper right framing edge and in the far upper left corner, and some small spots in the dress, arm and fur in the lower half of the composition. The signature is somewhat faint possibly following previous cleaning. Otherwise, this work is in good condition, presents very well, and is ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
The whites are somewhat more intense than appears in the catalogue illustration.
