Condition
The canvas has been lined. There is a pattern of hairline craquelure throughout, however mainly visible upon close inspection. Ultra-violet light reveals some finely applied in-painting in the aforementioned craquelure in the sky, one small spot addressing paint flaking in the sky in the lower right quadrant and some other isolated strokes along the extreme framing edges. This picture is in overall good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
Colours are not as warm as in the catalogue illustration.
