Provenance

According to family tradition this chair was used by W. B Yeats as his desk chair.

Condition

This chair is a lovely colour. It exhibits much wear. Evidence of worm. There is a repair to each shaped arm-rest and replaced sections and replaced arm supports. These and other repairs to the piece take the form of later large screws. These remedial repairs have some age. An atmospheric piece.
