‘…The 4th Lord, - a great Jacobite figure who fought both in the 1715 and 1745 risings and raised the men of Buchan to give the support of Prince Charles Edward. The ‘bonnie Prince’ gave him the brooch he always wore in his bonnet – a gold cross of St Andrew – which is still preserved at Fettercairn House’

Condition

Overall the condition of the pendant mount is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age, including minor nicks and scratches. There is some very minor warping to the scalloped edge.
