Condition

Overall very good condition. This impressively scaled example from the “R” series exhibits dynamic leaf-and-vine and millefiore decorations, rich coloration and intense lavender iridization which imparts the vase with wonderful luminosity. The glass with scattered minor air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions throughout, inherent in the making and not visually detractive. Some air bubbles can be felt on the surface but are not open to the surface. The midpoint of the body with a very subtle and shallow wavy raised band, inherent in the making and not visually detractive (visible in the catalogue illustration). A superb example from this rare and desirable series.

Catalogue Note

The present “Millefiore” vase is distinguished by its impressive scale compared to other examples from the R series. Decorated with a wild, whiplash leaf-and-vine motif, this superb vase is enriched with stunning lavender iridescence, which further accents the delicately articulated millefiore blossoms.
