  • lengths 7 1/2 and 7 3/4 in.
  • 19.1 cm and 19.7 cm
each reclining figure raised on an oval blue ground gilt-edged base, crowned interlaced L's enclosing date letters H and HH, and G.I. mark for probably Étienne-Gabriel Girard.

Condition

La Prudance: There is restoration around her neck and shoulders, it is possible that the head has been off and restored back. There is restoration to her right toes. The serpent is restored; the restoration extends a bit to the adjacent areas such as the oval plaque and her hand. Her crown is also restored. There are two tiny chips to the edge of the biscuit base. All of the restoration is very well done and difficult to see with the naked eye, but is visible under the black light. La Justice: Her hairdress is restored. Her upper left arm is restored as well as the book underneath it. Her right arm and hand are restored and the fasces underneath is could be a replacement. Tip of her right toe is restored. There are several small chips to the edge of the biscuit base. All of the restoration is very well done and difficult to see with the naked eye, but is visible under the black light.
