Catalogue Note

Zevs is an acclaimed Parisian street artist, actively tagging the streets of Paris throughout the 1990s and 2000s. He is best known for his “liquidation” logos. The liquidated logos comment on the omnipresence of branding in contemporary culture and investigate the visual power of the logo itself.  In 2009, he was arrested in Hong Kong for spray-painting a dripping Chanel logo onto the side of a Girgio Armani store in the central shopping district of the city.
