La peinture est dans un état de conservation satisfaisant. Il est peint sur un panneau de noyer épais, fait d'une planche non parquetée.
On voit l'emplacement d'une ancienne traverse visible à l'arrière au centre.
A la lampe UV, on constate quelques traces de vernis vert ancien et des fines reprises sur la base du puits ainsi que sur le visage et le vêtement du Christ et de la Samarithaine.
The painting is in a good overall condition. It is painted on a walnut tree panel, quite thick and made of one uncradled board. We can see the position of an old sleeper at the back in the centre.
Under the UV light, we see some traces of an old green varnish and few restorations at the bottom of the well as on the face and clothes of the Christ and the Samaritan.
