the lid with an arched reserve painted en plein after Viktor Vasnetsov's A Knight at the Crossroads (1878), the surface cloisonné enamelled with highly stylised shaded purple and white flowers with green leaves within white swirls, dripped overlay, scroll borders, cabochon sapphire thumbpiece, struck K.Fabergé in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant, overstriking workmaster's initials, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 34060

Condition

Excellent condition, the gilding with some wear, the hinge pin slightly protruding.
