The complete book, comprising 24 leaves with 19 lithographs en-texte, 14 printed in colors, accompanied by the Rafael Alberti poem "El Negro Motherwell", translated by Vincente Lleó Cañal, 1983, signed in black ink on the colophon and inscribed "a.p. I/X", an artist's proof aside from the numbered edition of 51, bound and folded (as issued), on white TGL handmade paper, three pages with chine appliqué, with preface by Jack Flam, title pages and colophon, printed and published by Tyler Graphics, Ltd., Mount Kisco, New York, contained in the original cloth-covered portfolio box (19 prints)
Condition
The prints are in good condition, the full sheets with strong colors. All sheets with slight undulation, the front endleaf with two horizontal soft creases from top to bottom. The sheets with faint traces of ink and surface soiling throughout; the very occasional pale fox mark on the versos. W.A.C. 303.18 with an inconspicuous printer's crease in the image. W.A.C. 303.19 with a small indentation and skinning on the verso, not visible on the recto. The box in good condition.
