The complete set of twelve lithographs printed in colors, 1948, each signed in pencil, inscribed with the plate number and numbered 58/90 (there was also a deluxe edition of ten in Roman numerals with an additional thirteenth lithograph), also numbered in blue ink on the justification, loose (as issued), on laid paper, printed by Albert Carman, New York, published by Pantheon, New York, with title page, justification page and table of contents, contained in the original paper wrappers with text and paper-covered boards (12 prints)

Condition

The portfolio is in good condition. Each print with some stray ink in the margins and a few small, pale fox marks on the verso, not showing through. Plates 7 and 10 also with faint light-stain and occasional fox marks in the margins and visible in the image upon close inspection.. (The numbering on Plate 7 is slightly smudged.) Plate 9 with a small area of clear adhesive in the yellow figure at upper right. The title page, table of contents and each of the paper folders with some stray ink and a few tiny, pale fox marks. Minor wear to the paper-covered boards and slipcase.
