The complete portfolio, comprising nine etchings and engravings by various artists, 1939, each signed in pencil, with the accompanying poem by Stephen Spender signed in blue ink, this copy numbered 86 in pencil on the justification, from the total edition of 113, loose (as issued), printed by Atelier 17 and Henri Hecht, Paris, on Montval laid paper, with the title-page, contained in the original hardback covers and slipcase

Condition
With full margins, in generally good condition, the sheets with mottled foxing and occasional small handling creases, the cover with minor surface stains and general wear, the slipcase with the occasional scuff mark and paper splitting at edges, title-page, text, and cover with light-staining.
