Condition

This platinum-palladium print, on Arches paper is in generally excellent condition. Upon close examination, there are a few very faint gray marks in the margin, presumably a result of the printing process. On the reverse, the annotations in pencil read: 'MARCHAND DE CONCOMBRES PARIS 1950,' 'P727' (encircled), 'Platinum-palladium,' and 'print made 1967.' There is a large 'X' and 'BC' also written in pencil in an unidentified hand. The Condé Nast copyright stamp is dated in pencil '1951.' The French Condé Nast copyright stamp is hand canceled with graphite. There are a few scattered scuffs and hinge remnants in each corner. The edition stamp on the reverse indicates that in addition to the 41 numbered prints in platinum, there may also exist no more than 8 unnumbered, but signed, gelatin silver prints.
