Condition

some dents on the upper part of the cover and on the body - A large and old restoration inside the caster, slightly visible from the outside. Marks under the base : date letter X visible, maker's mark partly legible (the upper part PS conjoined), the town mark illegible. Assay-scrape under the base and inside the cover. Rare piece.

De cet orfèvre sont connues plusieurs pièces dont un grand ciboire conservé à l'église Saint-Jacques de Lichtervelde et la plaque de la Gilde des Brasseurs brugeois orné en son centre du buste de saint Arnold, protecteur de Bruges, illustré dans Zilver & Wandtapijten Gruuthuse Brugge, 1980, p. 101 et dans Orfèvrerie d'art à Bruges, 1950, n° 185 et pl. XXV.
