Condition

The panel is flat and stable, the gold leaf is reasonably well preserved but much of the Madonna's robe has been retouched (visible in the catalogue illustration). There are some small losses to the right of the Madonna's hand and in her neck, and some other minor old losses scattered throughout. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals the aforementioned retouchings and some others around Christ's and the Madonna's halo.
