signed lower left: W. Carpenter / Punjab 1855, on an old label, attached to the backboard, there is a detailed list of the people present - 367 by 503 mm; 14 1/4 by 19 3/4 in.
Condition
There has been some tonal softening to some of the more delicate pigments. Around the extreme edge of the sheet there is a brown line, associated with the mounting. This work is laid down.
