Condition

This very decorative casket is in good condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Some light and superficial staining to the veneer. There is some tarnishing to the gilt-bronze mounts. Two losses to the lid moulding, which is also missing one of its brass mouldings. Minor losses to the veneer, especially on the bottom border. The green velvet-lined interior, probably later, is in good condition. This piece would greatly benefit from some cleaning according to taste.
