Condition

This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There are few minor chips along the graffito by the lower part and three minor by the upper part, all visible in the catalogue illustration. There is a chip by the upper right edge, visible in the catalogue illustration as well.

"In un certo senso si può dire che entro il 1935 egli aveva già scoperto tutte le direzioni in cui esplicare o applicare la sua energia: sin dal 1931 aveva fatto la scultura astratta, la ceramica modellata con gusto barocco, i "pezzi spaziali": negli anni che seguirono non fece altro che sbrigliare la fantasia su queste piste, condensando o rarefacendo i suoi doni in spericolate e brillanti variazioni."

"In a certain way it can be said that by 1935 he had already discovered all the directions in which exemplify or apply his energy: since 1931 he had made the abstract sculpture, the baroque-shaped ceramics, the "spatial pieces ": in the years that followed he did nothing but swirling the fantasy on these tracks, condensing or rarefying his gifts into reckless and brilliant variations."
