Condition

The illustration is accurate. Good overall condition. Some minor shrinkage cracks on both tops. Each top reverse is now fitted with wooden brackets which are probably later. Too small restorations to the mahogany of the upper frieze. Nice gilding on the bronze mounts. Very elegant model.

Une table d'un modèle similaire estampillée par Adam Weisweiler (1744-1820) a été léguée au musée Carnavalet par Henriette Bouvier (inv. MB 487) et est illustrée dans A. Forray-Carlier, Le Mobilier du musée Carnavalet, Dijon, 2000, pp. 170-171, n°63.
