Condition

The panel has been marouflaged and is flat and stable. The paint surface is good overall with some thinness in the browns of the foliage and ground at the lower left and right corner and is beneath a slightly uneven varnish. Under UV light there are some small inpaints along the grain of the wood on her face, chest and bodice. There a some very small retouches to her hair and feather of her hat, some retouches along the left edge in the foliage and one area in the clouds at upper left. There is some minor retouching along the extreme lower edge where there appears to have been rubbing from the frame. These are all minor and the painting could be hung as is, though might benefit from a light clean and fresh varnish. Offered in an elaborately carved gilt wood frame with minor nicks.
