The graduated necklace supporting a pear-shaped pendant, set with seven emerald-cut emeralds weighing approximately 39.70 carats, set with five marquise-shaped diamonds weighing 5.28 carats and one pear-shaped diamond weighing 1.34 carats, further set with numerous round, pear and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 79.00 carats, length 14¾ inches, separates into three sections measuring 6½, 4½ and 3¾ inches, with maker's mark.

Condition

In good condition. The emeralds are a medium to medium light bluish green, moderately to heavily included with a few examples bearing small surface reaching inclusions. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VVS-VS clarity. The pendant hook has been soldered closed, though it could become detachable again with the help of a jeweler. Once the pendant is detached, the central section can be worn as a bracelet, length 6½ inches. Maker's mark on a plaque on the central emerald. Accompanied by five GIA reports, dated 1991-1996, stating that the five marquise-shaped diamonds weighing a total of 5.28 carats range from F to H in color, Internally Flawless to VS2 clarity. Also accompanied by GIA report no. 7211509, dated September 9, 1991, stating that the pear-shaped diamond weighing 1.34 carats is G color, VS1 clarity.
