Condition

In good condition especially considering the piece's age, with some light scratching to the lapis lazuli plaque and some evidence of discoloration mainly on the reverse of the brooch and not apparent when worn. The lapis lazuli plaque is a deep cobalt blue with minimal color mottling and a light dappling of pyrite. A surface-reaching fracture is present on the reverse of the plaque, but this does not affect the stability of the piece. The cabochon emeralds are a medium-light slightly bluish green and moderately to heavily included. Signed on an applied plaque on the reverse. Dimensions approximately 2 x 1 1/4 inches. Please note the diamonds have not been tested for natural origin of color.
