Description

Composed of a line of pinched collet-set circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, and step-cut emeralds, length approximately 385mm, case signed Janesich. 

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 89012, stating that the nine round-cornered rectangular- and square-cut emeralds measuring from approximately 10.65 x 10.45 x 6.00mm to 16.30 x 14.50 x 7.50mm, are of Colombian origin, three with a minor amount of oil in fissures, and six with a moderate amount of oil in fissures. Please note that Sotheby's is not responsible for the accuracy of any estimated weights provided by gemmological certificates.Emeralds green of medium strong saturation, weighing from approximately 4.50 to 12.05 carats, calculated to weigh a total of approximately 60.00 - 65.00 carats, as gauged in the mounting, with good transparency, some typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, abrasions and chips consistent with age and wear; for further details on the stones, please refer to the gemmological report. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 20.00 - 30.00 carats, on average H-J colour (a few L-M), SI-I clarity (a few VS), as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with age and use, safety chain, some hooks behind the emerald mounts. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 66 grams. Case signed Janesich Joaillier 19 rue de la Paix - Paris Monte Carlo Vichy.
