Condition

Original canvas. There are a few small areas of craquelure, in the thicker areas of pigment, to the left of the figure's head. Another small area of craquelure in the white pigment to the right of the figure's head. Also a small chip to the yellow area of impasto in the background to the left of the figure's mouth; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition with strong passages of impasto. Under ultraviolet light there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held under glass in a wood composite frame; unexamined out of frame.
