Condition

The medium is oil on canvas. The canvas is not lined. The work is in good overall condition aside from two small areas of loss and flaking at the bottom visible edge, and associate frame rubbing. There is also a small surface scratch in the lower left visible corner, and a minute accretion about an inch from the center of the right visible edge. There is some pigment separation in the clouds, and an uneven varnish which has discolored somewhat, most visible in the sky at upper left. Under UV: there appears to be a few small dashes and marks of retouching in the stripes of the right female figures skirt. The colors are strong and vibrant and the work presents very well.
