Condition

Executed on a beveled panel. There is light rubbing to the pigment around the periphery of the panel. There is minor craquelure to the paint in the lower left quadrant. There is rubbing and loss to the lower left edge, where the signature is lightly faded, as visible in the catalogue illustration. When examined under UV light, there is evidence of light retouching along the left edge but no further indication of any restoration. The varnish is dirty and yellowing and the surface would benefit from a clean. The painting is in very good condition.
