Condition

The canvas has not been relined. The varnish is yellowing and the work would benefit from a light clean. There is minor craquelure along the entire right background and further craquelure to the yellow pigments of the yellow orchids with what appears to be minor in-painting. These areas do not fluoresce under UV light. There is a repaired tear to the canvas located at the lower center yellow orchid (approximately 1 in. long) with associated in-painting. There is some paint loss and some frame rubbing to the periphery of the canvas. The work is in very good condition.
