Catalogue Note

Until 1955, Vacheron Constantin’s timeline was misunderstood to have begun with Abraham Vacheron in 1785. The present lot is signed and printed with Jubilé, to celebrate their supposed 150th anniversary in 1935. Today, we celebrate Vacheron Constantin’s uninterrupted history dating back to 1775. The present lot is a peculiar example of Vacheron’s previously unknown historical timeline.
