Catalogue Note

Accompanied by Greubel Forsey Extract and Service Certificates. Together with one Owner's booklet, one leather bi fold, one leather travel sleeve, one polishing cloth, one pair of gloves, one custom magnifier, and a numbered presentation box with outer packaging.

Greubel Forsey's Double Tourbillon mechanism was the firm's first invention, with one tourbillon, inclined at 30°, rotating in 60 seconds, within a second tourbillon rotating every four minutes. The astounding feat is not only horologically complex, but visually magnificent.

This Edition Historique is the unique and final iteration of the Double Tourbillon 30°, commemorating the firm's closing of this contemporary line after six years of production. The present lot in platinum is defined by finely inscribed panels across the case band and dial, explaining the inventor's process and philosophy. The brand's acute attention to aesthetics is exemplary in this limited edition timepieces, made in a series of only 11 in pink gold, and 11 pieces in platinum. Platinum pieces are numbered 176 to 186.
