Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.Case in overall very good vintage condition with light signs of polish, wear and markings. Bezel with some some nicks, especially to the left from 7-10. Some small scuffs and surface markings throughout. Surface markings to the screw down case back. An area of loss to the case back rim revealing the gasket. Some oxidation to the pushers and crown threads. Bracelet with scuffing and wear. Some oxidation at the clasp.Dial in very good vintage condition with some light surface dots and debris. Movement in very good condition. Bracelet is expandable.

Catalogue Note

The present lot survives with an incredibly well preserved dial, with matching patina to the hands, and lume. The text is not faded, crisp, and legible, making this example an exceptional piece for discerning collectors.
