Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and presentation box.

The special artistic techniques used to decorate timepieces have a long and glorious history at Patek Philippe. Ref. 5088P-001 watch is decorated with mixed techniques of cloisonné enamel and hand engraved scrolls. The art of cloisonné enameling is reserved for only the most skilled and patient artisans.  The talent of engraving is an inimitable skill that creates neat, shining lines and a subtle play of light. The path traced by the burin based on this sketch requires perfect motor coordination between the engraver’s hands.  The combination of these two practices in the new reference is the testimony of how Patek Philippe has been creatively developing highly decorative timepieces into unique treasures.
