Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 13.50 carats, embellished with circular-cut diamond prongs, to the trapeze-shaped and baguette diamond shoulders and gallery, the diamonds weighing approximately 4.20 carats in total, mounted in platinum, signed Cartier, numbered, with French assay and maker's marks. Ring size: 6¼

Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 17071012, dated 10 July 2017, stating that the sapphire is natural, of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating. Please refer to the report for further details. Please note that Sotheby’s is not responsible for the accuracy of any estimated weights provided by gemmological certificates . Signed Cartier and numbered 704149, stamped pt950 for platinum and 53 referring to the European ring size. Sapphire stated to weigh approximately 13.50 carats, of blue and medium strong saturation, bright and lively, clean stone, with a few small typical inclusions and one tiny surface reaching fingerprint, and a few nicks. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 4.20 carats, are on average E to F colour, VVS to VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, overall in very good condition.
