Condition

Overall original condition. The wood surfaces are in very good condition and present with a few light surface scratches, minor abrasions and a few areas of discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. The top of the chair is slightly darker but the difference in color is not as pronounced as seen in the catalogue illustration. The leather seat is original and presents with a beautiful Art Nouveau embossed motif which retains its original gilding. The leather is in used condition and presents with wear, crazing, discoloration, surface soiling and some small tears and edge losses visible in the catalogue illustration. The leather is detaching from the edge along the back and proper right edges. An iconic design by Guimard, displaying wonderful organic lines, in original condition.
