Condition

Overall in very good condition. The polished bronze seat presents with a warm golden hue and luminous surface with very minor light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. The faceted "rock" portion of the chaise on the back, underside and base with a rich dark patina that further enhances the deeply sculptural quality of the surface. A highly dynamic work that combines fluid contour with graphic geometric form.

Catalogue Note

The "Rock" furniture series was designed in 2003 by Studio Job and introduced in 2004 by Dilmos in Milan (aluminium set). The series comprising the "Rock" Sofa, "Rock" Chair and "Rock" Chaise quickly became a sensation and examples of the "Rock" series are in the permanent collections of the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam) and the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands.
