Condition

Overall in good condition. Please note that the mount of the table is gilt bronze and not chromium-plated metal. The wood surfaces have been refinished and present with some surface scratches, minor abrasions, a few areas of discoloration and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. As seen in the catalogue illustration, the base of the table is slightly lighter in color than the top, and the leaves are slightly darker than the center of the top. The leaves appear to be beautifully painted in a manner that is consistent with the figuring of the top and present with a few small chips and restorations. The armchairs and chairs have been reupholstered at some point in the history of the pieces in an elegant green leather, which is in good condition with a few minor surface scratches and minor evidence of wear. One of the armchair with a restoration to the back of the proper left armrest. One of the chair with a vertical trace of white house paint remnant, along approximately 3 1/2 inches on the front of the proper right leg. Another chair with a few deep scratches to the proper right top of the back of the backrest. Some of the chairs are slightly unstable, possibly from the felt pad under the legs, all the structures are sound. The bronze with a few surface scratches, minor abrasions, minor oxidation and rubbing to the gilding consistent with age and use. A great opportunity to acquire a very chic dining suite.
