  • bronze
the baluster-form body with an angular shoulder rising to a trumpet mouth, the waisted neck set to each side with a scrolling ruyi-form handle, all raised on a splayed foot, the rich bronze surface artfully flecked with irregular gold splashes, the  inset base with a recessed rectangular cartouche enclosing an apocryphal Xuande seal mark

Condition

The vase with a patch repair to the rim and two contiguous patches along the edge of the angled shoulder. It appears that one of the handles may have been reattached. The surface with expected wear to the gold and some pitting and erosion- most visible just beneath the rim. Green encrusted flecking to the interior neck.The interior with deteriorating, detached liner.
