  • jade
carved in the form of two monkeys coiled around each other, with heads on the other's legs, portrayed with bulging round eyes, a wrinkled forehead and a protruding spine detailed with finely incised hairs, the stone of an even pale celadon colour

Condition

The carving is in very good condition. It should be noted that the stone is of a slightly cooler olive tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
