Condition

Overall, the condition of the marbles is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The surfaces are slightly dry and would benefit from a light cleaning and waxing. It is possible that the marbles may have been outdoors with some minor loss to surface detail. There are small chips to the busts, in particular at the edges. There are particular abrasions to the man's nose. There is a small loss to the frontal left corner of the female bust. There is veining to the marble consistent with the material and some naturally occurring inclusions. There are some dirt residues to the surfaces.
