Description

  • Two German gold snuff boxes, mid 19th century
  • Gold
the first , Charles Collins & Söhne, Hanau, in the form of a bow, engraved with flowers on a blue enamel ground within strapwork, applied scroll thumbpiece, 7.6cm., 3in.; the other, ingot form, red gold interior, yellow gold exterior, basketweave engine-turning within flower garland borders and gadrooned thumbpiece, maker’s mark incuse R and possibly N, St Petersburg import mark, 9cm., 3 ½ in wide 

Condition

1. Damage to enamel in several places, 70gr. 2. worn corners, 81gr.
