Catalogue Note

Michael Young graduated from Kingston University in 1992 and set up his own industrial and furniture design office the following year. His work very soon gained attention and his minimalist design style became renowned for its sophisticated and exclusive level of quality. Ever since establishing an office in Hong Kong in 2006, he has successfully incorporated the potential of Asia’s market and its pioneering technology with formidable design execution.

Synonymous with the designer`s early breakthrough into round-cornered and colourful furniture contrasting with the sober minimalist style of the early 1990s, the prototype underlines its equilibrated proportions. The marble-like Corian material also brings out the definition of the design’s filleted edges.
