Provenance

Collection of Swiss industrialist and celebrated textile collector Werner Abegg (1903-84), most probably inherited from his father Carl Abegg-Stockar (1860-1943), and thence by family descent to the present owner.

Condition

As shown. The shoulders are weathered. There is a restored piece-off to the top of the left thigh with an associated crack extending to the back. There is also a crack to the right hip and a small area of crackles to the right shoulder.
