Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The elements are stable and well intact. The surface texture and color variations are consistent with the artist’s choice of medium and working method. The subtle undulation to the form, particularly the lifting of the lower portion of the pin, is also consistent with the artist’s choice of medium and intent. There is evidence of minor oxidation to the steel wire elements. Under very close inspection, there are pinpoint areas of oxidation particularly to the reverse of the pin. Also under very close inspection, there is evidence of a few scattered unobtrusive, faint surface scratches, to be expected of a wearable work from this period.
