The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the background tends less towards brick and more towards pink in the original

This work is in very good condition. There is evidence of light wear to all four corners and in isolated places to the horizontal edges. Extremely close inspection reveals a few tiny and unobtrusive media accretions in isolated places elsewhere. Further extremely close inspection reveals a few very short and stable hairline cracks to some of the thicker areas of impasto with associated small specks of loss, notably one towards the centre of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
