Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There are artist’s pinholes in each corner and the sheet has been cut irregularly by the artist. There is some minor cracking to the areas of thicker impasto, most visible at the right side of the sheet and in the black-painted area along the bottom edge, and there is a 1-inch area in the lower center where green paint seems to have flaked off, revealing a red underlayer, which may be from or just after the time of execution. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat at each corner. Framed under Pleixglas. Please note the auction begins at 9:30 am on November 17th.
