Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly darker in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a few very small media accretions towards the centre of the lower right quadrant, and a few short and unobtrusive scratches and rub marks towards the centre left of the composition. Further very close inspection reveals three tiny losses to some of the impasto peaks on the lower overturn edge, one to the lower left corner, one to the centre, and one to the lower right corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
