Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly lighter in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. Close inspection reveals some thin cracks in places to the paint. Further inspection reveals some larger cracks in places, predominantly to the top of the barrel where it connects with the upper support, and running along the sides of the barrel.

Catalogue Note

"I monumentalize objects: a concrete mixer which becomes a monument, a glorified object. The choice of this concrete mixer is not arbitrary. It is an allegory for the mixture of cultures which is part of everyday life."
