Condition

The work is in very good condition overall. The work is striplined. The original tacks have been removed and have been replaced with staples on the reverse. There are some areas of minor surface soiling. There is minor wear and rubbing to some areas of the edges, with some associated pinpoint paint loss, visible upon close inspection. There is stable hairline cracking along the edges, visible upon close inspection. There are a few scattered stable hairline cracks to the white passages, common for works of this age by the artist and visible upon close inspection. There are vertical drip marks along the right half of the painting, visible upon close inspection, which fluoresce under Ultraviolet light inspection. There are areas of restoration, particularly along some of the edges and the drip marks, visible under Ultraviolet light inspection. Unframed.
