Condition

Hinged along the upper edge to a mount, the sheet is otherwise totally free. There is an old repaired pin prick hole to the upper left centre and a small tear next to this. There are three small holes to the centre right edge and two small brown stains to the left of the sheet. There are two old diagonal crease marks to the upper left quarter. Otherwise in good condition with the medium strong. Sold in a carved giltwood frame.

Cette délicate étude à la sanguine est à mettre directement en rapport avec la peinture de Pater Tentes de Vivandiers du Quartier Général1, dans laquelle on pourra retrouver notre soldat au premier plan à droite.
