the ruyi-shaped terminal carved in low-relief with a bat in flight around a large peach spray, the arched tapering shaft carved in low-relief with the four-character inscription ji xiang ru yi ('auspicious as you wish), the end carved with a bat suspending a ribbon-tied wan symbol, the highly polished stone of an even pale celadon tone

Condition

The sceptre is in overall good condition. There are minor nibbles to the edges of the sceptre.
