the rounded sides rising from a short foot to an angled shoulder and short neck, carved to each face with C-scrolls forming a taotie mask, the stepped cover similarly carved and surmounted by a knop finial, the stone of very pale celadon tone, wood stand and fitted box

Purchased in Hong Kong in 1984.

Condition

The jar and cover are in overall very good condition, with minute fritts to the edges.
